“Average Joe – The Story of an Unlikely Candidate” is the Layman’s Guide to understanding politics; and should be considered a “BluePrint” for anyone aspiring to run for Political Office.
I scintillating read from start to finish; you’re quickly introduced to the “common man” – Joe Blankenship – an everyday citizen who’s concern for his country has finally manifested in an inner desire to introduce his Own solutions to the politicians that keep making empty promises and falling short on what the Mainstream of the country really needs; someone like Him.
While a fictionalized tale – it represents so many swept up in the angst and patriotism of the day that call for Better Ideas and Candidates with unyielding Principles.
Calling on Every reader to Truly delve into their own ‘platforms’ and positions on issues, you’re drawn to consider things you May have Never found yourself pondering before; such as How to fix our National Budget, Immigration and Welfare Systems; WHAT positions to take on the “hot-button topics” like Social Security or Abortion… or talk Plainly about the notion of having our Representatives agree to serve under Term Limits.

Regardless your affinity for any one, specific ideology – the authors, a father and daughter team – have managed to capture a powerful dynamic that keeps you Not only interested in the progress of the Protagonist… but in the Values, Issues and Principles that make up the Very Foundation of our democracy – and by the book’s end – will have you wanting more.
